Does Reddit itself respect their user’s privacy?

I’ve read all sorts of threads about how Google and Gmail doesn’t respect their user’s privacy, same goes for Facebook and Twitter, they don’t respect their user’s privacy, they snoop on your email, they track you online, even outside of their website.

That is why, for this reason, I neither have Gmail, Facebook or Twitter accounts, but, with that said, does Reddit itself respect their user’s privacy? Does Reddit read the PMs (personal messages) sent between their users?

I’m not bashing Reddit in anyway, but we are on Reddit discussing about online privacy, so it’s only fair I ask this question. Thanks.
