HOME|BREAKING|BREAKING: Temporary Flood Wall Breaches in Davenport, Iowa, Flooding Downtown
Officials say that a temporary flood wall in Davenport, Iowa, has been breached, flooding the downtown area.
The wall was protecting the area from extreme flooding from the Mississippi River. Crews are currently working to rescue people who area reportedly trapped on roofs.
Water is continuing to rise in the downtown area, and crews are working to deploy more sandbag barriers to stop the rising waters. The National Weather Service has declared a flash flood emergency in the area.
